WebCT Spring 2008 Orientation Schedule. Click Here

FACULTY: Send your students to a WebCT CE 4.1/ CE 6 Orientation Session!
During Spring 2008, FIU will be using both the WebCT Campus Edition 4.1 (CE 4.1) and Campus Edition 6 (CE 6) course management systems for fully online, hybrid, and web-assisted courses. In Summer 2008, the migration from CE 4.1 to CE 6 will be completed and all courses will be taught in CE 6. For more information on the migration, go to http://ce6migration.fiu.edu.

We will be holding orientations to both the CE 4.1 and CE 6 systems for students several times on the first week of classes. Sessions will be held on both the UP and BBC campuses. Each session will cover the basics of both

If you have students who are new to either CE 4.1 or CE 6, please encourage them to attend a session. Don't hesitate to call us at 7-2814 if you have any questions.

Logging into my courses
During Spring 2008 semester FIU is using both WebCT 4.1 and Blackboard CE6 systems. You may have courses on both WebCT 4.1 and CE6. But you only need to login once.

Simply go to webct.fiu.edu and select the “Login Now” button. Once logged in, you’ll see your list of courses that are using WebCT 4.1.  If you have courses that are using CE6, then simply select the link at the bottom of the list that says “Click here for additional course section(s) on CE 6.”

You will be transferred to the CE6 course area and will be able to access your CE6 courses, as well.

Your Username and Password
Faculty Login: Your will use your PantherID to log into WebCT.
If you have any problems, contact us at 7-2814 or send a message to ets@fiu.edu.

Student Login: Use your Panther ID and your default password which is your date of birth, input as MMDDYYYY. The first time you log into WebCT, you will be required to change your password.
To lookup your PantherID number, go to http://my.fiu.edu
